TLC
-- Flying Animated! Vibe magazine (http://www.vibe.com)
reports T-Boz of TLC has been shopping around for a
network deal for an animated TV show called “It’s A
Fly World.” T-Boz, who’s had the idea for about five
years and worked with animator Tracy Trent on the
concept, developed the show with the Jim Henson Company
(Muppets).
“[Originally], I drew a head with an idea and said
[to Trent], ‘Now girl, you got to draw the body,
I’ll tell you everything I need,” T-Boz told MTV.
“But it’s changed from there. It’s growing a
lot.”
“Thoughts,” (see photo above) the book of poems
by T-Boz (Tionne Watkins), hits stores on November 3rd.
T-Boz is also stretching her creative legs with a
guest appearance on the track “Be Somebody” on the
new “Amen” CD by the Paula Cole Band. Paula says T-Boz’s
sound was exactly what she wanted for the background
harmony at the end of the song. “I knew her voice
would be perfect,” states Paula. “She has a
beautiful, sensuous, husky voice. She was so
down-to-earth and kind, so easy to work with, and I love
that we came together from different worlds to unify in
this song. It’s about coming together and making a
difference.”
TLC’s LeftEye, who hopes to release her solo effort
next year, can also be heard on “Never Be The Same
Again,” a track from Spice Girl Mel C’s new solo
release “Northern Star,” in stores on November 2nd.
